We have been blessed to have Dr. David Sheppard as our interim pastor since October 2011. In 2009, David retired from the role of Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church in St. Charles, Missouri after 22 years of ministry there. David believes that his role as Interim Pastor is to prepare the congregation for the next Senior Pastor that God will call to lead His church. He has certainly done that at Canaan Baptist Church.
God has provided a Senior Pastor for Canaan. On June 3rd, 2012, Pastor Daniel Carr will assume the duties of Senior Pastor of Canaan Baptist Church. Daniel and his wife Tara have five children between ages 2-11 years. Daniel is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, and of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY. Daniel and Tara are looking forward to beginning their ministry in Canaan Baptist Church and seeing the people of Canaan living out the Gospel in practical and radical ways to bring needed change to the community and beyond for the glory of God.
