We are currently working to update our website with a fresh look and new information. During this time, please use this temporary site to learn about the church and upcoming acitvities. This is an exciting time of change for Canaan Baptist Church.

Canaan is currently seeking God’s man to lead our congregation as our Senior Pastor. If you are interested in submitting a name to be considered as a candidate for this position, please send it to our Pastor Search Committee at resumes@canaanstl.org. We invite you to pray with us about this important person who will lead this church in the future.

At this time we are blessed to have Dr. David Sheppard as our interim pastor. He comes to us with 42 years of pastoral experience. David has served in churches in Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. In 2009, he retired from the role of Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church in St. Charles, Missouri after 22 years of ministry there. David believes that his role as Interim Pastor is to prepare the congregation for the next Senior Pastor that God will call to lead His church.
