Who can participate in the Egg Drop?
Children ages 0-12 can participate and collect eggs. Adults and teenagers may attend the event but cannot participate in the Egg Drop. Only children ages 4-12 will be allowed to participate in the Egg Drop. Children ages 0-3 will have a specially designated area to hunt eggs where parents can assist.
Do I really need to pre-register?
We strongly recommend that each child pre-register. ONLY those pre-registered will be guaranteed a spot in the Egg Drop. You will have a shorter wait time on the day of the event and also helps us to plan for the best event possible. We will have very limited registration on the day of the event. Participation is not guaranteed.
Do I have to bring my printed registration confirmation to the event?
Yes, you will need to either bring the printed confirmation or you may show the confirmation on a mobile device. If you forget to bring your confirmation to the event (printed or mobile), you will need to present valid photo identification.
What if I pre-register my child and then bring additional children to the Egg Drop?
Anyone who has not pre-registered will need to stand in line at the event to register.
What if it is raining or snowing?
In the event of inclement weather, please check Canaan's website or on Facebook for details about any changes.
What time does the event start?

Where do we park?
Parking will be available nearby with officers available to help you and your family make it safely across the road to the event. Plan to carpool if possible. Handicap parking will be available on Canaan's main lot.
What type of food will be at the event?
Do we bring our own basket?
No, we will supply each child with a container to collect eggs. Baskets, bags, and outside containers will not be allowed in the Egg Drop area.
Will there really be a helicopter dropping eggs? Is that safe?
Yes! A full size helicopter, compliant with all laws and permits, will drop thousands of plastic eggs onto the fields before the egg hunt! But don’t worry, everyone will be standing in a safe area away from where the eggs are being dropped. After the eggs are dropped, the kids will be allowed to gather them up.
What ages can participate in the Egg Drop?

Will my younger children be overwhelmed by older children?
No, we will have 4 staggered drops that will be divided by age group. VIEW 2019 EGG DROP SCHEDULE.
Will parents/guardians be allowed to help gather eggs with children?
No, adults and children 13 and older will not be allowed in the fenced off areas. Parents will be able to watch their kids, and encourage them from the boundary lines, just a few feet from the actual egg hunt field. Our amazing Egg Drop Volunteers will ensure your children stay safe and have fun during their hunt.
Will there be accommodations for special needs children?
There will be a specially designated area for children with special needs to hunt eggs where parents can assist in collecting eggs. (Special needs children 12 years and under).
How many eggs will my child be allowed?
Each child will be allowed to collect 12 eggs. This will allow everyone to walk away with goodies! Eggs will contain candy or a small toy.
Will there be restrooms at the event?
Yes, we will have portable restrooms located outside at the event.
Are animals allowed at the event?
No animals or pets are allowed entry into the event. ONLY official service animals will be allowed entry.
