Children’s Church – Sundays, 10:15 a.m. Worship Service in Rm. 174,  
Ages 4 yrs. old – 5th grade

Led by children’s pastor Rev. Gary Bond, children learn valuable character lessons and Biblical truths at Mr. Gary’s Garage. Pastor Gary (aka “Mister Overalls”) emphasizes practical application from a fun perspective with topics like “What to do when your ‘Forgiver’ is broken,” “How to know right from wrong.”

AWANA – Sundays, 5-7 p.m., Family Life Center, Kids 2 yrs. old – 6th grade

AWANA is an international ministry that focuses on systematic Scripture memorization, Biblical teaching and a whole lot of fun!  Students are rewarded for their achievements throughout the year in addition to year-end awards.  Students may also qualify for academic scholarships to certain educational institutions based upon their achievement in the AWANA program. 

In addition to our weekly Sunday evening program, AWANA students may also compete in a regional Bible Quiz meet, participate in AWANA games (a competitive team event against other regional AWANA programs), and build/race a pine box car in our Canaan’s annual AWANA Grand Prix!

Girls in Action (GA’s) – Wed., 7-8 p.m., Children's Education Wing, 1st – 6th grade girls

Girls in Action (GA's) teaches girls how to live a missions-minded life. By learning about, praying for, and giving to missionaries all over the world, GA’s discover how they can be missionaries in their homes, schools and church. This year they are learning how they can alleviate world hunger, support the mission efforts in Indonesia, Scotland and Southern Africa, and show God’s love to people in need. 

Annual GA activities include the RA/GA Grandparents Luncheon for Grandparents Day, Give Thanks Luncheon for the single/widow ladies of Canaan, Dad and Daughter Valentine Banquet and Mom and Daughter Spa Night and the GA Camp at Lake Williamson.

Royal Ambassadors (RA’s) – Wed., 7-8 p.m.,FamilyLife Center, 1st – 6th grade boys 

Royal Ambassadors is a Missions-minded program for elementary school-aged boys to “help foster understanding of the mission field and what it represents…all under the banner of Jesus Christ.” With service projects that contribute to disaster relief efforts and the fight against world hunger, the RA’s gain a Christian perspective on global concerns. Events include the annual RA Campout, the RA/GA Grandparents Luncheon for Grandparents Day and the Father-Son Basketball/Chili Dinner Night.

Mission Friends – Wed., 7-8 p.m., Children's Education Wing, Preschoolers 
Mission Friends provides a "strong foundation for preschoolers in a Christian and missions lifestyle." Teaching about God's love for everyone, it helps preschoolers focus on others through age-appropriate lessons, games and crafts.

Upward Basketball and Cheerleading promotes character and self-esteem through disciplined practice and equal playing time for each child. Team members play a game every week, improve their basketball and cheerleading skills and make new friends.
